Founders / Directors

https://thedoggydaycarecentre.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/andy-bio-768x640.png
Before launching The Doggy Day Care Centre in 2018, Jenny and Andy were both working full time jobs, juggling hectic schedules while raising two children, caring for two horses, and looking after their four beloved dogs. Their pack at the time included Doris the French Bulldog, Jazz the Jack Russell, and two working spaniels, Maggie and Bessie.

It was through the challenges of managing this busy lifestyle that the idea for The Doggy Day Care Centre was born. Since then, their family has grown to include their cheeky little pug, Pug.

Jenny’s background in animal care, combined with Andy’s strong customer service skills, created the perfect foundation for the business.

In the early days, they both dedicated themselves completely to the centre. They worked full time at daycare while also taking on night shifts to support their family as the business found its feet and began to grow.

Kerry’s passion is dogs of every shape, size, and personality. She shares her life with a rescue dog from Cyprus named Tia, and spends much of her free time training her and helping her grow in confidence.

At Doggy Day Care, Kerry uses her extensive knowledge of training and behaviour to support structured activities including agility, obedience, and enrichment sessions. She also plays a key role in the ongoing development of our staff, helping to ensure consistent, high-quality care across all centres.

Her goal is simple: to help every dog reach their full potential, every single day.

She started volunteering at kennels when she was young, and has also done a placement in a Veterinary practice. She has always known that she wanted a career working with dogs. Ciara absolutely loves her job as the pet taxi driver, as nothing makes her smile more than picking up all those happy pooches.

Ciara has two spaniels, Tyne and Skye, who she absolutely adores and loves going on new adventures with them at the weekends. Since working at Daycare, Ciara has especially became attached to Labradors, and loves to work with them at Daycare. Ciara is always excited to meet and welcome every dog that comes to Daycare, and always makes time to give each and every one of them lots of love and attention that they all deserve.

Amy "Taxi"

Team Leader - Whitley Bay

She absolutely loves her role in the Pet Taxi Service, especially the excitement and tail wags she’s greeted with each day as dogs head off to daycare. Amy holds a qualification in Canine First Aid and thoroughly enjoyed gaining the skills to respond confidently in an emergency situation.

Her favourite breed is the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and at home she shares her life with three much-loved pets: Missy, Storm, and Victor. Outside of work, Amy enjoys socialising, particularly going out for good food and drinks.

Liv

Team Leader - Blyth

https://thedoggydaycarecentre.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Liv-768x640.png
Liv joined The Doggy Day Care Centre in May 2024 and quickly became a familiar face at our Morpeth site. Now a Team Leader at our Blyth centre, she’s known for her hands-on approach, endless patience, and love of one-to-one time with the dogs, especially the ones with big personalities and even bigger energy levels.

Certified in Canine First Aid, Liv brings calm confidence to every room she steps into. Whether she’s guiding excitable spaniels, supporting nervous newcomers, or leading the team through a busy day, she has a natural ability to keep both dogs and staff feeling settled and supported. Her favourite part of the job is watching shy or anxious pups slowly come out of their shells and start to trust, play, and grow.

Liv has two working cocker spaniels of her own, Loki and Eddie. They’re far too hyper for day care life and much prefer sprinting down beaches or tearing through fields. Her dream dog is a Bernese Mountain Dog called Sansa, already named in anticipation. She has a real soft spot for spaniels, as well as the “crazy” golden retrievers who bounce into day care as if they own the place.

Outside of work, Liv’s life is just as energetic. A dedicated gym-goer, she trains five days a week and previously competed in athletics, once earning a county champion title in the 100m sprint. She’s also proudly Swedish, a keen traveller – including a trip to Australia where she held a red panda at Australia Zoo – and a bit of an aviation enthusiast, with a particular love for aircraft like the Airbus A380 and the Beluga.

Liv brings heart, humour, and real drive to her role, making her a brilliant Team Leader and a much-loved part of the Morpeth team.

Live, Laugh, Liv.
