At The Doggy Day Care Centre, we believe a successful business has a responsibility to contribute positively to the wider community. From supporting local initiatives to partnering with international charities, our commitment extends well beyond day-to-day dog care.

To celebrate our achievement as Dog Day Care Business of the Year at the 2025 Pet Industry Federation Awards, we pledged £2,000 to U-Hearts, an international animal welfare charity that works across Ukraine and surrounding regions. Their mission is to protect and support vulnerable dogs and the people caring for them in areas heavily affected by conflict and hardship.

This partnership reflects our wider belief that compassion has no borders, and we are proud to contribute to vital work taking place far beyond the North East.

Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter

The Doggy Day Care Centre has recently begun raising money for the Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter, a charity we feel genuinely passionate about supporting.

Their work makes a real difference to the lives of animals across the North East, and we are proud to be playing a part in helping them continue their incredible mission. Our aim is to build a long-lasting and meaningful relationship with the shelter, working closely with them to support their efforts and make a positive impact wherever we can.

We are also pleased to share that all five of our centres are now Official Donation Drop-Off Sites, making it easier for our community to contribute items the shelter desperately needs.

Pegswood Community Hub
