Founders / Directors

https://thedoggydaycarecentre.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/andy-bio-768x640.png
Before launching The Doggy Day Care Centre in 2018, Jenny and Andy were both working full-time jobs, juggling hectic schedules alongside raising two children, caring for two horses, and looking after their four beloved dogs – Doris the French Bulldog, Jazz the Jack Russell, and two working spaniels, Maggie and Bessie.

It was through the challenges of managing this busy lifestyle that the idea for The Doggy Day Care Centre was born. Since then, their pack has grown to include their cheeky little pug, Pug!

Jenny’s background in animal care, paired with Andy’s strong customer service skills, created the perfect foundation for their new venture.

In the early days, they both dedicated themselves fully to the business – working full-time at the day care while also holding down night shifts to support their family as the centre found its feet and began to grow.

Kerry

Operations Manager

https://thedoggydaycarecentre.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/kerry-bio-768x640.png
Kerry has been with The Doggy Day Care Centre since its very first day back in 2018 and now oversees all of our centres across the business.

She holds a BSc (Hons) in Canine Behaviour Management and a FdSc in Canine Training and Behaviour, and is also fully qualified in canine first aid.

Kerry’s passion is dogs — of every shape, size, and personality. She shares her life with a rescue dog from Cyprus named Tia, and spends much of her free time training her and helping her grow in confidence.

At Doggy Day Care, Kerry uses her extensive knowledge of training and behaviour to support structured activities including agility, obedience, and enrichment sessions. She also plays a key role in the ongoing development of our staff, helping to ensure consistent, high-quality care across all centres.

Her goal is simple: to help every dog reach their full potential, every single day.

Chloe joined The Doggy Day Care Centre team in November 2019 and has grown into a key leadership role over the years. She now manages our Whitley Bay centre and serves as Head of Client Relations, ensuring both dogs and their owners receive the very best care and communication. Chloe also plays an active role in the setup and launch of new centres across the business.

She holds certifications in Dog and Puppy Training, as well as Level 3 Canine Emergency First Aid.

At home, Chloe shares her life with Cloud — a Springer Spaniel and Border Collie cross. The two have a strong bond and regularly attend daycare together. Outside of work, they’re dedicated members of a local Flyball Club, which helps keep Cloud mentally sharp and physically active.

Within daycare, Chloe uses her training knowledge to enhance the daily experience for all dogs, with a particular focus on puppies. She enjoys supporting their development through structured obedience sessions and impulse control games. Her passion lies in working with high-energy breeds such as spaniels, collies, terriers, and labradors, helping them build confidence and overcome behavioural challenges.

Ciara

Team Leader - Blyth

https://thedoggydaycarecentre.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Ciara-bio-768x640.png
Ciara started here at Doggy Daycare in June 2023, where she took on the role as pet taxi driver, as well as an assistant on the floor. Ciara has since completed a level 3 qualification in Canine First Aid.

Before working here, Ciara worked in hospitality for over 5 years. She’s always had a love for all animals, especially dogs. She started volunteering at kennels when she was young, and has also done a placement in a Veterinary practice. She has always known that she wanted a career working with dogs. Ciara absolutely loves her job as the pet taxi driver, as nothing makes her smile more than picking up all those happy pooches.

Ciara has two spaniels, Tyne and Skye, who she absolutely adores and loves going on new adventures with them at the weekends. Since working at Daycare, Ciara has especially became attached to Labradors, and loves to work with them at Daycare. Ciara is always excited to meet and welcome every dog that comes to Daycare, and always makes time to give each and every one of them lots of love and attention that they all deserve.

Caring for animals – especially dogs – has always been Daisy’s passion. Having grown up around dogs, she now has two of her own: Jackson, an 11-year-old blind Toy Poodle, and Arthur, a lively one-year-old Labradoodle.

While Daisy loves dogs of all breeds and sizes, she has a particular soft spot for larger curly-coated breeds. Her biggest goal is to ensure every dog in her care receives the love, attention, and individual care they truly deserve.

Jess takes great joy in getting to know each dog at daycare, appreciating their unique personalities and quirks. She loves witnessing the excitement and joy that the dogs show as they anticipate their day of fun, and she particularly enjoys watching them interact and play with their canine companions.

Known for her warm and affectionate nature, Jess is committed to giving the dogs in her care plenty of cuddles and praise. She especially enjoys helping shy or timid dogs build confidence, ensuring they feel comfortable and happy in the daycare environment.

Outside of work, Jess shares her life with Rigby, her lively 11-year-old Springer Spaniel. Together, they enjoy long walks on the beach and exciting weekend adventures.

Amy "Taxi"

Team Leader - Whitley Bay
Pet Taxi Driver

https://thedoggydaycarecentre.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Amy-Taxi-768x640.png
Amy joined The Doggy Day Care Centre in September 2024 and is a valued member of the Whitley Bay team, working as both a Team Leader and Pet Taxi Driver.

She absolutely loves her role in the Pet Taxi Service, especially the excitement and tail wags she’s greeted with each day as dogs head off to daycare. Amy holds a qualification in Canine First Aid and thoroughly enjoyed gaining the skills to respond confidently in an emergency situation.

Her favourite breed is the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and at home she shares her life with three much-loved pets: Missy, Storm, and Victor. Outside of work, Amy enjoys socialising, particularly going out for good food and drinks.

Liv

Day Care Assistant - Morpeth / Blyth

https://thedoggydaycarecentre.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Liv-768x640.png
Liv joined The Doggy Day Care Centre in May 2024 and quickly became a familiar face at our Morpeth site. As a doggy day care assistant, she’s known for her hands-on approach, endless patience, and love of one-on-one time with the dogs, especially the ones with big personalities and even bigger energy levels!

Certified in Canine First Aid, Liv brings calm confidence to the room, whether she’s spending time with excitable spaniels or helping nervous newcomers settle in. Her favourite moments at work are watching shy or anxious pups gradually come out of their shells and start to trust and play.

Liv has two working cocker spaniels of her own, Loki and Eddie, although they’re too hyper for day care life and prefer sprinting down beaches or tearing through fields. Her dream dog? A Bernese Mountain Dog called Sansa (already named and everything!). She has a huge soft spot for both spaniels and the “crazy” golden retrievers that bounce into day care like they own the place.

Outside of work, Liv’s life is just as full of energy. A dedicated gym-goer, she trains five days a week and has a background in competitive athletics, once holding a county champion title in the 100m sprint (yes, really!). She's also a proud Swede, a keen traveller (with a highlight trip to Australia where she held a red panda at Australia Zoo), and a bit of an aviation nerd with a love for planes like the Airbus A380 and the Beluga.

Liv brings heart, humour, and hustle to the team — a perfect mix for keeping tails wagging all day long.

Live, Laugh, Liv!

She has two Jack Russells of her own, Sas and Wilson, who occasionally join her at the centre.

Elisha has a particular interest in working with older and more nervous dogs. She takes great pride in giving them the extra time, attention, and support they need to build confidence and settle into the daycare environment.

Eloise enjoys dedicating her free time to teaching Zelda entertaining tricks.

Eloise finds great satisfaction in her role at daycare, particularly in the rewarding process of helping dogs build confidence. Witnessing them gradually emerge from their shells and uncovering their playful personalities is an aspect of her work that she cherishes.
