Jennifer Cairns, Co-Founder and Director of The Doggy Day Care Centre, said:
“To be recognised as the Best Dog Day Care in the UK is an incredible honour and a huge moment for our whole team. From our very first centre in Morpeth to the five sites we now operate across the North East, our mission has always been to create a place where dogs can enjoy safe, enriching, and joyful days. This award is a testament to the dedication and love our staff show every single day — we’re so proud of what we’ve achieved together.”
Founded in 2018 by Jennifer and Andrew Cairns, The Doggy Day Care Centre has grown from a small local start-up into the North East’s largest 5-star rated dog day care provider, with purpose-built centres in Morpeth, Alnwick, Whitley Bay, Blyth, and the Little Legs Club, a dedicated daycare for puppies and small breeds.
Every day, the business cares for hundreds of dogs across the region, supported by a passionate team of trained staff and managers. Each centre offers carefully designed play areas, rest zones, and enrichment programmes, ensuring every dog receives the highest standard of care and attention.
This latest accolade cements The Doggy Day Care Centre’s reputation as a national leader in dog day care and a benchmark for excellence within the UK’s fast-growing pet care industry.
